About the Topic

Generating masked data at scale can be a difficult task.  Especially when complex business logic and data requirements make it hard to develop a single solution.  We engaged with a mortgage industry firm where their typical test data generation timeline for single loan package creation took up to thirty minutes.  This was due to manual test data generation with complex requirements.  This greatly hindered their ability to generate enough relevant test data at scale for test evidence submission (manual, automation, and performance).  Partnering with industry leading firms, we built a custom automated solution that cut down this task from thirty minutes to thirty seconds or less.  We broke down their requirements into consumable tasks, created a masking process, and provided multiple use-cases for consumption.  The solution integrated tools, automation, and system algorithms.  This greatly reduced their time-to-test and allowed them to deliver software faster with more confidence.
