Performance Testing: Roles, Activities and QA Inclusion
Mike Lawler, NueVista

About the Topic

With the continued evolution of technology in an increasingly complex technical environment, organizations are challenged with ensuring that software application performance meets the needs of their business and their customers. Performance testing is typically left to the performance testing engineers and the IT Support organization. However, there are several key areas that require involvement from others in the organization to ensure that the applications are designed, developed, and maintained in an effective manner. This interactive presentation will outline those roles and how organizations can be successful with an inclusive approach to performance testing.

Key Learning Objectives

Outline the components of a performance test and considerations associated with an effective performance testing effort

Discuss the various roles, tasks, and activities involved with performance testing and how they fit into the overall software development life cycle

Review several design approaches specific to performance testing along with the goals, information, and potential outcomes from the approaches

About the Speakers
